Here's a paddle with a lotus pattern for you to impress into your pots. The reverse side is smooth. The dimensions of this hard wood paddle are around 13" long by 3" wide and 3/4" thick. The pattern is 8" x 3". I start with an idea and a beautiful piece of wood. I cut out the design on my band saw then carefully refine the shape on my belt sander. Here is where I bring the tool to life with sweeping curves. I hand sand until I am satisfied with the fine detail work. Lastly, I saturate the wood with a mixture of mineral oil and beeswax and hand polish. My formula makes the wood glow, fills the surface pores and give it a soft, smooth feel.
