When I saw my friend Rebecca from Little Monkeys Crochet post her Malia Cowl in a beautiful mustard color, I knew I needed to 1) try the pattern one day and 2) make something with that yarn in the very near future. When I was perusing our local Hobby Lobby, I saw a similar yarn and grabbed a few skeins in some gorgeous colors. I was happy to find that when I checked her site, it was the exact same yarn!

I finally had some time to sit down and write up a new design. As usual, I’m not quite sure what type of flower this is. Maybe similar to a gerbera daisy? If you think it looks more like something else, I’d be happy to hear suggestions. If you’d like to make one of these flowers for yourself, here’s how!
I love it when I have an idea that turns out as crochet blanket as I had pictured. I’m not going to lie: I almost frogged this blanket in its early stages because I wasn’t sure if it would end up how I had envisioned. I’m so thankful that I decided to run with it, though, because I absolutely love the finished product. The bright colors and the white make this blanket pop. It screams fun and looks gorgeous draped across my favorite chair.
Since the granny heart has been so popular, I’m back with a granny crocheted purse made from the same free pattern. My girls love purses and anything girly. Caroline has already tried to take over the market tote I made last weekend. It’s hysterical to watch her try to haul the bag around since it’s just about as big as she is.
