For this tall tale by Mark Twain, I have slightly modified the story to make it a little shorter and easier to read.  The Notorious (Celebrated) Jumping Frog of Calaveras County is so well-known I wanted students to read it but especially in the beginning of the story it was cumbersome to follow the plot.
