This has made me realize how difficult the research process is. After scouring Google results and going from page to page, I couldn’t find any scholarly sources or interesting topics. Finally, I went to Google Scholar and found an interesting article on the coffeehouse, called “An introduction to the coffeehouse: a discursive model.” This introduced me to the idea of coffeehouses as public spheres, but it also mentioned them as having exclusionary mechanisms.
