Easy puff pastry appetizer idea. Zucchini and feta cheese combination.
45min · 6 servings Puff pastry and zucchini appetizer Ingredients ( 6 appetizers ) • 1 package puff pastry (thawed) - 2 sheets • Zucchini - 2 • Feta cheese - 1 cup • Parsley - ¼ cup • Oregano - 1 tbsp • Salt & peppers • Extra virgin olive oil • Egg Wash: 1 egg yolk + 1 tbsp of milk Oil spray Instructions • Roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle using a rolling pin. • Cut the dough into 3 stripes lengthwise. • Place zucchini slices on each strip so that half of each slice is sticking out above the top of the pastry. • Sprinkle some feta cheese, salt, pepper, oregano and olive oil on top of the dough. These crispy flaky cheese sticks are such a hit at any dinner party! They are really easy to make and will be gone in minutes 😍 What you'll need: 🧀puff pastry sheet 🧀1 1/2 cups freshly grated Gruyere cheese 🧀1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese 🧀1 egg (egg wash) 🧀fresh parsley (optional garnish) Heat the oven to 375. Lay out a puff pastry sheet and sprinkle on 1 cup of your Gruyère cheese. Fold in half and roll out to press everything down. Then add on your egg wash. Sprinkle on the remainder of your Gruyère cheese and Parmesan cheese. Cut into strips. Twist each strip and put on a sheet pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown!
