Mummy Tummy is most often the cause of a condition called Diastasis Rectus Abdominis (DRA) when the rectus abdominis separate during pregnancy in order to create space for the growing uterus. Mummy Tummy is the result of the DRA not recovering postpartum leaving weak connective tissue and the organs pushing against the separation.
