"Pistol" Pete Maravich was a famous basketball player in the NBA as well as college player (playing for LSU), where he is still the all-time leading scorer in NVAA Division I history (scored 3,667 points). He was drafted 3rd overall in the 1970 NBA Draft, and named to the NBA All-Rookie Team in 71'. He made the NBA All-Star Game five time (1973, 1974, 1977-1979) plus making the All-NBA First Team twice (1976, 1977). He also lead the NBA in scoring in the 1976-77 season (31.1 points per game).
