Quanah Parker Last Comanche Chief - YouTube
Quanah Parker was a bridge for his people to the new world. He helped them to adjust, which saved them from certain starvation and death.
Quanah Parker - being interviewed by a biographer. At this time, through shrewd investments, part ownership of a railroad, and a profitable cattle ranch, he had become perhaps the wealthiest Indian in America. Yet, for all his efforts to embrace white culture, he never repudiated his past or asked his people to abandon their traditions. He rejected suggestions he become monogamous, refused to cut his long braids and rejected Christianity for the Comanche peyote religion.
