There are many types of composite lamps and this is a fine example of a hand painted glass stem lamp. The opaque blue glass stem is hand decorated with a simple spray of yellow flowers and green and brown foliage. The patterned, clear glass font has some air bubbles within the glass as you would expected to find in a lamp from the 1880 – 1900 period.
The emerald green Bullseye Fine Detail oil lamps have always been very popular. They were produced in Canada during the late 1890s and were available in clear, opaque blue and this beautiful emerald green. There were also several sizes and forms to choose from. There were four different styles of finger lamps and three sizes of stand lamps. This is one of the smaller stand lamps.
