Spitfire Mk IX converted into a float-plane fighter. The RAF took an interest in them first in 1940 during the Norway invasion and again in 1944 with the Pacific theater . Only 5 from different variants were converted. Seems the Spitfire IX on floats was faster than the std Hurricane.
