For most of the year, I have summer on my mind. This holds especially true during winter. I’m so bad at cold weather and usually feel the most like myself when I’m in my summer outfits. Easy to wear, flowy dresses and sandals are my vibe. Blue and white, woven pieces, white denim, stripes…ah, it’s the best. I was about to publish a life lately with some exciting news and then realized that April is over and summer is just 53 days away! So I’ll share the big news in my Sunday newsletter. So I switched gears and got to work on my what I bought in April post. This was an exciting month of purchases, mainly because I finally took the plunge and bought something I’ve been thinking about for months and months.

One thing I like to do is take a look at Amazon’s best-sellers to see what’s selling well, but whenever I need something, I’ll do a quick search and bam – there it is. I ordered new temporary blackout shades for the girls rooms until their window treatments arrive, and they’ve done the trick.

We’ve been spending a good amount of time at the pool. Margot and Kate really like the smaller kids’ pool. It’s very shallow, and they splash and play with toys. It all started when some little girls were playing with mermaid Barbies, and I ordered a few extra things to keep them busy.
