The Wheat Ear brooches - In 1830, King William IV ordered six brooches that could also be worn as hair ornaments.  Once again the source of these stones were his father's (George III) collection. Mother: Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz.  The third son of George III & younger brother & successor to George IV after his 2nd brother Frederick's death. He became King at age 64. He had 10 illegitimate & 0 legitimate children. Williams James

The Royal Guelphic Order, also known as the Order of Hanover, was instituted on 28 April 1815 by the Prince Regent (later King George IV). It ceased to be conferred by the British Crown after the death of King William IV in 1837 when the union of the United Kingdom and the Hanover ended. 1819 - Museum of London
