There are plenty of streams and waterfalls in the upland areas of Evia and we found a lovely, shady waterfall by a spring, just past the village of Platanistos. At first we thought there were lots of blue butterflies, dancing over the water and then realised they were gorgeous blue-green damselflies. I'm not sure of the exact species, so id would be welcomed. I couldn't get close enough to use my macro lens, so these were taken with the 100-300 and some aren't quite as sharp as I'd have…
If anyone can help me identify the species, that would be great! I took this photo in a butterfly farm/zoo in Kuala Lumpur. I only had my little digital Ixus camera, but I managed to capture this photo, which was an instant favourite for me.
