Athena is the Greek goddess of wisdom and strategical war. She is the daughter of Zeus & Metis. Most people claim her to be motherless because, due to a prophecy, Zeus ate Metis and thus Athena was born from his forehead, motherless.
The Louvre - It is the Winged Victory of Samothrace. It’s from the second century BCE, and it represents the Greek god of victory, Nike. It was made to commemorate a successful sea battle in Samothrace, and it actually did have a head once upon a time.
