Build review of MiniArt's M3 Lee armor tank scale model kit
Let's look at the 1/35 scale armor kit with superb moldings. The large box was stuffed with nearly 1,300 parts molded in MiniArt’s typical gray plastic. The detail was well executed and not a single ejector-pin mark marred any piece. The cast texture on areas like the turret, transmission, and casemate looked good and included ... Build review of Blitz by Takom's Jagdtiger scale model armor kit
Build review of the 1/35 scale armor kit with good, easy detail. The Jagdtiger was the heaviest and most armored vehicle to see combat in World War II. Developed from the already massive King Tiger tank, the tank destroyer mounted a 12.8cm gun in the casemate; fewer than 80 were completed before war’s end. The Jagdtiger has been a popular kit subject; if manufacturers had a King Tiger, a Jagdtiger would follow. Read the rest of the review here! #ScaleModel #Armor #Hobby

Build Review of IBG Crusader Mk.I scale model armor kit
Review of the 1/72 scale armor kit with low parts count but confusing instructions. Keyed for buildability, IBG’s Crusader has one-piece injection-molded tracks with the inner set of road wheels molded on, optional photo-etched metal (PE) sand shields, and markings for three vehicles. #Scalemodel #armor #tank #military #hobby

Build Review of Academy's Panther Ausf G Tank
FineScale Modeler reviews the German military 1/35 scale armor kit with beautiful moldings and decals. See lots of photos of the complete model decorated in camo. The ultimate version of the Panzer-kampfwagen V, the Panther Ausf G was also the most produced — more than 3,000 were built between March 1944 and April 1945. Its heavy armor made it a challenging opponent for Allied soldiers and tanks on both the Eastern and Western fronts in the last year of the war. #tanks #military #WW2 #Germany

Takom M3 Lee
FineScale Modeler reviews the 1/35 scale plastic model armored tank kit. As war heated up in Europe, Africa, and Asia, the U.S. military realized it needed better weapons to meet the threats. The M3 medium tank was developed from the M2 light tank design but carried a 75mm gun. Because the U.S. did not have a turret capable of holding the gun, it was mounted in a sponson on the right side of the hull. A smaller turret carried a 37mm gun...

From the manual: looking down into the rear of the turret and fighting compartment. Ammo stowage is visible to the right, on the vehicle's port side; note the labels. You can also see the fixed fire extinguisher and a can of hydraulic fluid for maintaining the recoil and recuperator cylinders.

With the help of longtime friend and internationally respected armor expert Steven Zaloga, Cookie gathered photos of M8 HMCs that revealed the details he needed to bring the open-topped fighting compartment of the M8 up to snuff. We didn't have room to publish them all in the magazine — but we do here, along with Cookie’s descriptions of them.

Zvezda T-35
Zvezda’s new T-35 kit captures the imposing bulk of the only widely produced five-turreted tank perfectly. The large box is filled with huge sprues; if your workspace is on the smaller side you’ll need to find a larger place to build. The dark green plastic parts feature crisp details, no flash, and slide-molded gun barrels. The only part I had any problem with was the wraparound antenna; it was brittle and the part was broken in my sample.

Included in the kit is a nice photoetched-metal fret with engine screens, optional brass side skirts, and machine-gun shields. Some of the parts have excellent detail; other areas are a little thick. | #FineScale

Tamiya 1/48 scale Greyhound armored car
Tamiya continues to expand its impressive line of 1/48 scale armor kits, this time with a U.S. M8 armored car. Molded in dark olive plastic, the parts show excellent detail. Typical of Tamiya's 1/48 scale kits, a cast-metal chassis is included; it doesn't add anything to the detail of the kit, but it does add some weight to the finished model. | #FineScale

Applying Zimmerit can be intimidating to many modelers. While many tools and products have been developed to help replicate the distinctive, nonmetallic coating Germans applied to their tanks to discourage magnetic mines, many modelers wish their kits would come with it already molded in place. | #FineScale
