It’s almost a, “hold my beer,” style move but in this case maybe it’s a, “hold my perch” salute. I love the way it surfaces and shakes off like a wet dog, clearing the water from its eyes before casting its glare in my direction. This bird just gave us its best, “Blue Steel,” and now it’s ready to take to the skies with a healthy, plump pompano.
