F-1 Team Jaguar

Jaguar's F-1 effort began in 1999 when Ford purchased the Stewart team & re-badge it Jaguar to promote Ford's recent purchase of Jaguar cars. The team spend the next 5 seasons stumbling over itself. An example is when Bobby Rahal was appointed director and managed to lure Adrian Newey away from McLaren only to have executive director Niki Lauda nix the deal due to his friendship with Ron Dennis. Jaguar would fold in 2004 & sell it's assets to Red Bull who then hired Newey away from McLaren.
