Babylon architecture

Mesopotamia fueled some of the crucial inventions in history, ranging from the cursive script, advanced astronomy to complex mathematics.

Again this relates to my previous post about courtyards and gardens. This is Ancient Egyptian Architecture from the 19th Dynasty.

The legendary Tower of Babel is said to have been the largest construction endeavor of antiquity. Its goal being to build a tower that reached the heavens, myths tell how the gods disliked this new level of human ambition, so they confused their languages to prevent the tower’s completion. For Nebuchadnezzar's wife queen Amytis. The Hanging Gardens of Babylon were built for Median wife of king Nebuchadnezzar II queen Amytis, because she missed the green hills and valleys of her homeland. The construction of the Hanging Gardens has also been attributed to the legendary queen Semiramis, who supposedly ruled Babylon in the 9th century BC, and they have been called the Hanging Gardens of Semiramis as an alternate name.
