“Check out these awesome cardboard relief sculptures from our Sculpture 1 students! Students chose an artwork by a famous artist and replicated it as a cardboard relief. The trick was to add layers to create depth and distinguish shapes through texture and detail. @PallottiHS”
In Studio Art we will begain working on our last major project, the 3D Cardboard artist Collage based on one of the artists you researched this year. You can create a collage of either the artist or their artwork but you must have at least 3 layers of cardboard and include either color or shading
When you have a stack of cardboard boxes in the corner, recycling is one option, but before breaking down those boxes, check out these projects that repurpose cardboard into something useful, fun or beautiful.
This is the cut out city scape I've been working on for my solo show at Gallery 360 in Minneapolis, MN. Opens Nov 10. 2012. I plan to have them displayed around the perimeter of the gallery with paintings hung above. The stand up with slotted tabs like paper dolls. I have forty finished and plan on 100 for the show. I am excited to see them in the space at Gallery 360. (c) 2012 Barbara Gilhooly
