There are a lot of tutorials on these cupcake ornaments but none of them were overly colorful. Foil cupcake liners are not very "pretty" to me so I came up with this idea. The fake snow is insanely messy so I suggest doing this project, or at least the step with the fake snow, somewhere where you can easily clean up any messes.

I've seen quite a few cupcake ornaments on Pinterest recently. Here's my version... They are so easy and inexpensive to make. I used light pink ornaments that cost $5.99 for a box of 8 ornaments and I had a 40% off coupon. This made the box of ornaments $3.60 or 45 cents each. I bought baking cups at Michael's for $1.99 a pack. I can't remember how many were in a pack, but it comes out to just a few cents per ornament. For the frosting, I used Snow Tex. And they are as simple as taking mini paper cupcake or muffin liners, folding in half and placing a line of glue down center from fold line to top edge (as shown). Next, stack folded liners together, placing a line of glue on each side of top liner before placing next liner on top ( as shown).
