Last spring Fiona Presly, a library assistant from Inverness, Scottish Highlands came across a surprising phenomenon she would never forget. While taking care of her garden she spotted a bumblebee queen crawling around. What surprised her the most was that the animal had no wings, as it turns out the bumblebee may have suffered from a virus which had caused problems in wing development.
