Motelo Mama- Chilean myth: a giant turtle which holds a large chunk of forest on her back. When she moves the ground trembles. She can stay motionless for hundreds of years. She is thought to have existed and will exist forever. She is the mother of all turtles.

The giant dragon-turtle is alive, but there's a thriving city on top of it. They placate it sometimes with sweets. Also plot hook for later -> the turtle is needed for battle, but that means everyone must abandon their homes.
