Leafcutter ants don't cut leaves to build their nests or to eat. Instead, they use them to grow food! Leafcutter ants feed on fungus that grows on the cut leaves, so they cut these leaves and bring them back to their nests to create fungus gardens. They then eat the fungus that grows there! 🍃🐜
