For the second year in a row, Travel + Leisure readers chose Mexico’s San Miguel de Allende as their favorite city in the world, as part of the annual World’s Best Awards. That, of course, meant it was also voted the top city in Mexico, besting such scenic cities as Oaxaca and Guadalajara.

An easy recipe for Esquites - or Mexican Street Corn - served off the cob as a side dish or warm salad with Mexican crumbling cheese, a creamy spread, fresh cilantro and chili powder.

Elote is a traditional street food in Mexico. In America, it is typically called Mexican street corn. It is corn on the cob charred on an open grill and smothered in cheese, a cream sauce, and chipotle seasoning and insanely delicious. The perfect side for any barbecue or summer get-together!
