Paragraph writing rubric

In my book Blended Learning in Grades 4-12, I shared the following middle school writing rubrics with my readers. Unfortunately, the short links I provided in my book have timed out, so I wanted to share these on my blog

Description Use this simple writing rubric to help your students learn the difference between a 1, 2, 3, and 4 in the areas of capitalization, punctuation, spelling, handwriting, and parts of a story. The comparison to a cheeseburger is fun and helps students understand the scores in each area. This rubric is great for students to use to grade their own writing, but also makes grading student's stories much easier and less subjective!

The purpose of a paragraph writing rubric is to give students a checklist. This checklist will tell students what is expected to be included in a well written paragraph. #paragraphwriting #essaywriting #writinginstruction #teachingwriting
