Create beautiful double binding for your projects with perfect mitred corners. Sallieann gives you measurements for both 2 1/2″ and 3″ binding & talks you through the mitred corners and has a really neat tip on how to join the ends back with a mitred join. The final stage of anchoring the binding when you’ve turned it onto the front of your quilt, is done also using the sewing machine. For those accomplished quilters, you can think about having a fancy or variegated thread to really show off.
I have to say the first pattern I wrote was a pretty painful process. There are so many hard lessons to learn, but it’s the most painful lessons that stick the best!
