We just completed an amazing kitchen remodel on a home in the Berkshires. This room used to be a dark living room with low ceilings that the homeowner didn't like to spend time in. Vaulted the ceilings and used a more modern, unexpectd, steel beams, natural cherry cabinets, mix of granite, quartz, and cherry butcher block countertops. Note the stainless steel backsplash! Fossilized eucalyptus hardwood flooring. Needless to say - home owner was beyond exstatic with results!
The focal point for this kitchen design were the views out to the garden which are reflected in the colour palette. Steel beams were concealed within bespoke cabinets and the sink wall was brought forward to achieve a cleaner kitchen design. Often, breakfast bars face inwards towards the cook, here the seating area was purposefully designed to sit side by side to be more social and enjoy the natural daylight and views to the garden.
