We go to Surfside Beach every year. Its just 45 minutes south of Pearland on 288. Great day trip for the kids! You drive right on to the beach - no amenities, but there's a few restaurants. Little community - fun sand play for kids. Quintana Beach is a few miles up the beach and free with amenities.
