Wendigo

On a secluded mountain, there are legends of a horrifying creature living there. It consumes human flesh, but it usually stays in its mountain. Natives living near the mountain call it the Wendigo, a human who was possessed by a spirit and turned into a cannibal. Unlike their mamono wannabe, this is a true Wendigo. Sadly, this Wendigo is the last of his kind, as well as his sister.

A Wendigo is a half-beast creature appearing in the legends of the American Indians. The most frequent cause of transformation into a Wendigo was if a person had resorted to cannibalism.

One of the most infamous cryptids in America is the Wendigo. I originally started these as Wendigos but after reading up on the lore, I’ve decided that they are not true wendigos. Maybe a False-Wendigo? Either way, I love drawing deer monsters.
