Prune late summer after flowering or spring just after coming out of dormancy. To prevent woody/leggy lavender, it needs to be pruned hard! Full sun ( at least 6 hours a day) poor and very well draining soil. There’s absolutely no point in growing lavender in shady areas or heavy soils.
