"How Do I Land?" obraz
In the Illusions series, Aziya presents a surrealistic composition constructed with the imagery conveyed by everyday media content. The goal is to highlight the artificiality of the ideal image and society’s trend to pursue happiness by means of flat picture and letterism. The author aims to challenge Semantic conventions and hopes to extend the possibilities of communication. “How Do I Land?” asks an ironic question of a crashing airplane flying above indifferent central subjects. They seem to not pay attention to what is happening in the sky. The woman is playing tennis and the man is sitting on the chair. The author once again questions duality of life by having two or three different layers of composition on one canvas. It serves a reminder if we are really present and attentive.
