MFTWSC133 - Sweet 16
Thanks for stopping by for another MFT Sketch Challenge, MFTWSC133. You will have the chance to win up to $20 in MFT money. Hope you have a chance to play along this week! Using the sketch for inspiration, I came up with this birthday card for one of my nieces. To create the background pattern I used the LJD Darling Dots Stamp Set, using Pink Lemonade Ink on Pink Lemonade Card Stock. I used the Postage Stamp STAX Die-namics to cut the frame for corrugated paper and the Fishtail Flags STAX…

It is my best friend, Simone's, 40th birthday this week. Simone and I 'found' each other on the first day of kindergarten back in 1980. We were sort of shy and standing next to each other quite nervous about starting big school. I said "Would you like to be my friend?" We held hands and walked into class. The rest is history. 35 years later we have shared many memories both happy and sad. I am godmother to two of her children and she is the godmother of my child. Simone's favourite colour is…

I really like today's card, and I hope you do, too! I CASEd it from Chantal De Kaste. The only thing I changed was the number-- I needed it to be 70. My friend already received her card and she LOVED it, too! The Number of Years stamp set is already one of my favorites. It came out in the Occasions Catalog. I love that you can stamp and cut the letters using the matching framelits, OR you can simply cut out the numbers and use those. Cutting them from plain colored card stock or designer…

Balloon Celebration for a Number of Years
March is a very busy time with a number of celebrations in early March, so I have my work cut out for me this week. This card is for someone very special and dear to me I saw this amazing card on Pinterest - love the layout of the banner, then I drew colour inspiration from the Global Design Team's colour challenge: Daffodil Delight got me out of my comfort zone, it's not one of my "go-to colours" so I thought why not go for a 2nd challenge and make a masculine card. Occasions Catalogue to…
