Gold Leaf Japanese Screen
Vintage hand painted Japanese screen with birds and a persimmon tree. The image is painted on paper with ink and mineral color on a large field of gold leaf. There are four panels that fold to the size of one (16.5"W) and the back is lined with it's original patterned paper. Two movable brackets mounted on the back allow the screen to be hung. Detailed brass fittings all around the black wood frame show the age of this piece. Persimmons and birds are considered to be good luck. Artist signed
