The Blue Pools
The "Blue Pools" were one of the mini hikes I did on the way from Franz Josef glacier to Queestown. Yes the water really is this color -- And unbeleivably clear. The glacial water you find in much of the South Island of New Zealand has a fine silt in it that gives the water its amazing color.
Mt Cook @ Sunset
On this day, Mt Cook was obscured by valley cloud until about the last 5 or 6 minutes of light. I almost blew this shot as I was busy chatting to some nice Aussie guys (oxymoronic statement I know).
