Create Now received a grant from the Kaiser Permanente Foundation to provide our Create A Mural Now workshop at Phoenix House, a rehab facility in Lake View Terrace with 120 teenage boys and girls dealing with substance abuse. Artist Roger Dolin worked with a group of around 10 youth to design and paint a mural focused on the theme of Recovery. The kids worked together to come up with the title, “Metamorphosis,” and imagery of a caterpillar morphing into a butterfly that flies toward the city.
