And even though I often include a description, supply list, and show the majority of steps, you simply can’t beat a real time, real voice video when learning (& teaching) something new. I entered phase 2 of my career, my art business, to teach and share what I’m learning. I absolutely love doing that through classes and now with my commitment to serve my email/newsletter group even more, I’ll be creating videos with topics like this bookm...
How to do you color in your bowl ..............
1. Under glazes: These are applied before the final glaze. They come in a wide range of colors and are often painted, sponged, or stenciled onto the bisque-fired bowl. Under glazes allow for more precise designs and patterns, as they don’t run when fired. 2. Slips: Colored slips (liquid clay mixed with colorants) can be brushed, poured, or dipped onto the surface of the bowl. This technique is ideal for achieving a matte or textured surface and is applied before the bowl is bisque fired. 3. Glazing: Glazes are liquid glass particles that melt and fuse to the surface during firing, creating a smooth, glossy finish. You can dip, brush, or spray the glaze onto the bowl.
