Pichai Pongsasaovapark : Abstract Tradition
Being of Chinese ancestry and an admirer of traditional Chinese ink drawings and paintings, I created this series, Abstract Tradition, to honor my cultural heritage, yet do so with my sense of modern abstract form. The result is a series of paintings, done solely in Chinese black ink, that express a more contemporary sensibility, yet, in my mind, are a direct link to a long tradition of such Chinese work.
