Modern Classics: Eero Saarinen’s Tulip Chair
There’s something about the tulip chair. No other design embodies quite so well that space-agey Jetsons aesthetic. With its organic shape, it seems to have sprouted up from the ground, rather than been made, just like the flower it takes it name from.The tulip chair was designed in 1956 by Finnish architect and designer Eero Saarinen, as a complement to his tulip table.

Carlo Mollino This marvelous apartment museum of the Italian architect and designer Carlo Mollino (1905 - 1973) in Turin – which he spent the latter part of his life decorating and photographing without ever actually living there.
