The Pole Star (Polaris) and the open star cluster NGC 188, between an ocean of galactic cirrus, located in the direction of the Constellation of Cepheus. The galactic cirrus clouds are dusty structures populating the galaxy absorbing starlight. NGC 188, below in the image, is an open star cluster discovered by John Herschel in 1825. Unlike most open clusters that are diluted with the passage of a few million years, due to the gravitational interaction of the Way Milky, NGC 188 is located very cl
