Grace Pierrepont was the only daughter of Henry Pierrepont and Frances (nee Cavendish), her brother, Robert Pierrepont, who was born in 1584, was the 1st Earl of Kingston-upon-Hull. Grace was married to Sir George Manners on the 1 August 1593.[1] She had four children including John Manners, 8th Earl of Rutland. She founded Lady Manners School in 1636. Grace was also the granddaughter of Rt. Hon. Sir William Cavendish and Bess of Hardwick.
