Above The Spruce
This is one from a recent trip to my favorite auroral hunting grounds, northern Alaska. This night the weather was unusually warm, a mere -10F and without much wind to boot, so I was able to lay on my back out in the snow for a couple of hours while the lights did their thing above.

The Fjords of Norway
The countryside of Norway is pristine and beautiful. This is a scene near Loen, Norway, in the fjord country. The homes, farms and villages are at lower elevations, near the water, because the Atlantic Ocean causes the temperatures to be warmer.
