Clay is a wonderful thing for children to craft with -they will enjoy squidging, squeezing and rolling it, enjoying the texture and can use it to make some lovely clay models which can be treasured. Air-drying clay is the easiest to use (unless you happen to have a kiln at home!). You can, of course, also make models with Fimo or playdough.
