Sophie Scholl was a member of the White Rose Movement - a non-violent anti-Nazi resistance group operating in Nazi Germany. Along with five others, she was arrested for high treason after distributing anti-Nazi leaflets at the University of Munich. She died for her belief in non-violent resistance.
