Purim Paints Art - This is a truly amazing work of art, made in oil paints, that portrays the many traditional symbols of the jewish holiday called Purim. In addition to all of the traditional symbols of the holiday, this painting offers us a glimpse of the special design of the table, which appears like something out of a romantic vacation.

Pictured here is a Purim celebration held by the Beitar movement in Wlodzimierz, Poland in 1937. In 1931 the Jewish community in Wlodzimierz numbered 10,665. The Jews were engaged in light industry and also dominated the cattle, grain and retail trade. After the Germans occupied Wlodzimierz in 1941, a series of periodic executions took place. The Jews were forced into a ghetto in May 1942. By December 1943 the ghetto was liquidated.
