Strong Armor: Teaching about the Bill of Rights, Constitution, and Declaration of Independence

I whipped out these posters when I was subbing in a grade class a while back. I find that simple visuals like these are very effective.

4th grade Texas history--Interactive notebook activity to teach about the important documents of the Texas Revolution.  Students match the document and its purpose.  Documents include the Treaty of Velasco, Texas Constitution, Texas Bill of Rights, and the Texas Declaration of Independence.  Great for interactive notebooks - INB.

4th Grade Texas Revolution & Alamo Interactive Notebook Activities (TEKS)

Worksheet with abbreviated versions of the Bill of Rights and a set of short scenarios to analyze. Each describes a right's violation in a way that students can identify with and understand. They then refer back to the Bill of Rights to match it to the correct one. Finally, students answer a question regarding their opinion on whether our rights are absolute or can change over time.  An answer key is included as well as talking points for the concluding short answer question.

3 Branches of the Government

I love this idea its fun and interactive! I think its a good way to show the 3 branches of govt. It can be done as a whole class activity or individually based on the students level!
