Lithuanian Soviet Socialist Republic. The Žaliasis Tiltas is a bridge over the Neris River in Vilnius, Lithuania, that connects the city center with the district of Šnipiškės. The bridge long featured four sets of sculptures – prominent examples of so-called Soviet realism. Each featured two people, representing social classes idealized by the Soviet authorities (soldiers, workers, farmers, students). In July 2015 the statues were removed.
