Sculpture and found objects mingle in Marcia Donahue’s garden | Digging

I built this meandering stacked stone wall with stones from a local quarry. Behind it I planted TImber Bamboo, Cordyline, Coleus, Potato Vine and Moraea and accented with a stone Geisha bird feeder. In a few short months the plants had completely obscured the wall behind them and today, several years after the installation the Bamboo has soared to a commanding 65 feet and shades most of this lush desert oasis.
