Friday! - day of Frigg - Norse mythology

"Friday" means "day of Frigga." She was a Norse goddess and mother of Baldur. At Baldur's birth, she made everything in her kingdom swear not to hurt Baldur. She forgot to make the mistletoe take this pledge, however, and that was Baldur's undoing.
