Touring Architectural Homes in Santa Monica and Venice
I have attended four AIA home tours prior to this tour. Every house has all the elements to make it an architecturally beautiful piece of art, but the homes I love best tell a story and great artwork is also a bonus. I scored with last Sunday’s homes: the Hirshberg Residence features an extensive selection of contemporary art (the wife owns an art gallery). The architect for the Mohammed Residence was challenged with building a family home around the owner’s Islamic faith.
