This is a very fun way to learn about shapes- especially if you love cars! Children can practice driving their toy cars around the numerous shapes. As they do, encourage them to describe the different shapes that the roads make. For fine motor skill practice, why not laminate the shapes and get your children to follow the roads using a board marker pen?
